Carolyn Tyrie started her career in Human Resources working for a High Tech company specializing in restaurant systems. After three years with this organization she left and joined Harry Rosen Inc. – a Canadian luxury menswear retailer operating stores located across Canada. Carolyn started with the company as HR Specialist, was soon promoted to HR Manager, moved to the role of HR Director in 2002 and was appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2017
During her career with the company Carolyn has also taken on projects in Store Operations and for a 3 year period functioned as Regional Director for the Outlet Division in addition to her responsibilities in HR. In her time with the company Carolyn has spearheaded a number of initiatives designed to enhance the ‘Associate Experience’. With that in mind the company has moved forward with changes designed to promote work/life balance, enhance engagement, and better train and support the company’s team members. Consequently turnover rates within Harry Rosen are the envy of retailers across the country within a high performance, high service company culture.
