Sarah is currently a Corporate Director and Commissioner on the OSC. She is a Director of HudBay Minerals (a leading base metals mining public company based in Toronto), American Stock Transfer/Canadian Stock Transfer, (a North American leader in providing shareholder services owned by Pacific Equity Partners) and Canadian Tire Bank (the credit card bank owned by Canadian Tire and Scotiabank). Sarah is also a Trustee of WPT Industrial REIT (a TSX traded REIT focused on US industrial properties) and a Director of Sustainable Development Technology Corporation (a Government of Canada Foundation formed to invest in clean technologies in Canada).
Until 2010 Sarah was a Vice Chair in the Investment Banking Department at Scotia Capital. Prior to assuming this position, Sarah was Head of Equity Capital Markets and before that Head of Investment Banking at Scotia Capital.
As well as her experience in investment banking, Sarah has held senior finance positions at several Canadian corporations, including a two national retailers and a large integrated communications company. Prior to moving to Canada, Sarah spent seven years in the investment banking department at Lehman Brothers in New York.
In 2015 Sarah was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by WXN. Sarah was named one of the Diversity 50 in 2012. This is a selection by the Canadian Board Diversity Council of the 50 most Board ready diverse candidates across Canada. She is also a member of Women on Board, a mentorship program. Sarah is active with Women in Capital Markets. In 2008 she received the Women in Capital Markets Award for Leadership. She was Chair of the Board of Governors at The Bishop Strachan School (2009-2014).
