DRi Announces Boys Home Director of Development

Development Resources Inc. (DRiWaterstone) is delighted to announce the placement of Justin Mosby as Director of Development at Boys Home of Virginia.

DRiWaterstone worked with Boys Home’s Board of Trustees and Executive Director (and graduate) Donnie E. Wheatley to lead a critical search for a Director of Development charged with doubling private revenue in a historically endowment-funded educational institution. We guided the highly-engaged Board through the full search process, from decisions about reporting structure to the development of interview questions and process to offer negotiations. Our search recruited entrepreneurial fundraisers who could develop new funding models to support Boys Home’s strategic transformation from a residential home to a degree-granting educational institution with both a trade and college prep program.

In July 2018, Justin Mosby will join the Board and Wheatley to begin creating those models. A former educational counselor who spent the last 10 years building and leading major donor programs in Virginia institutions, Justin secured major gifts to meet a $1M+ annual goal in all his most recent positions—as Associate Director of Development for two colleges at Virginia Tech and as Executive Director of Advancement at Radford University’s College of Business and Economics. Justin began his development career as Assistant Regional Director of Major Gifts during Virginia Tech’s $1B Campaign for Virginia Tech: Invent the Future, after spending four years in a student services role at the university. In addition to his fundraising expertise, Justin brings a degree in Counselor Education and experience working with students from under-privileged backgrounds to Boys Home.

We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to Boys Home and Justin Mosby. We look forward to the success they achieve together.
