LPM President and General Manager

DRiWaterstone is delighted to announce the completion of our search for a President and General Manager at Louisville Public Media and we congratulate Stephen George on his appointment to the role.

DRiWaterstone worked with the Board of Trustees at LPM to design an executive search that reflected the institution’s profound commitment to local community. We engaged both Board members and staff throughout the organization at every phase of candidate recruitment and assessment to identify a President and General Manager who could sustain LPM’s impressive record of growth as a convener of local partnerships in journalism, art and cultural programming, and digital media.

After an extensive interview process, the Board announced its appointment of Interim President Stephen George to be LPM’s new President and General Manager.

Stephen George joined Louisville Public Media as executive editor in 2015. He led a restructuring of LPM’s news operations that resulted in audience growth across broadcast and digital platforms. He also spearheaded multiple new initiatives and partnerships, including the regional journalism collaborative Ohio Valley ReSource, a news partnership with the Spanish-language newspaper Al Día en América, and LPM’s acquisition of Under George’s leadership, Louisville Public Media has received national recognition, including a Kaleidoscope Award for its coverage of diversity in the community and a Peabody Award for “The Pope’s Long Con.” Prior to his career in public media, George served as editor of the Nashville City Paper and LEO Weekly.

We congratulate LPM and Stephen George. We look forward to seeing your continued success together!

(DRiWaterstone) is delighted to announce the placement of Mary Frances Wain as Senior Vice President for External Affairs and Tisha Hyter as Director of Individual Giving at the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC). Wain’s and Hyter’s placements are the culmination of a multi-faceted partnership between DRiWaterstone and the National Women’s Law Center. DRiWaterstone worked with NWLC’s newly-appointed President and CEO, Fatima Goss Graves, to create an integrated leadership structure for the communications and development teams and to recruit the first Senior Vice President to lead both functions. We continued to work with NWLC to build the External Relations team, recruiting a Director of Individual Giving to capitalize on new fundraising and stakeholder engagement opportunities. NWLC’s new Senior Vice President of External Affairs, Mary-Frances Wain, brings more than two decades of experience growing development, communications, and marketing programs, with a frequent focus on gender equity and economic opportunity for underserved groups. Wain previously led the U.N. Foundation—where global gender equity is one of the top programmatic priorities—to embark on strategic digital communications and donor prospecting initiatives that fueled growth in both membership and revenue. Tisha Hyter, NWLC’s new Director of Individual Giving, most recently served as Deputy Director of the UN Foundation’s Nothing But Nets Campaign. Hyter managed donor portfolios and led a team responsible for individual giving at all levels to meet a $4M goal. The Center is excited to have both new leaders to the External Relations team. We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to the National Women’s Law Center and to Mary-Frances and Tisha. We look forward to seeing the success they achieve together."
