DRi Announces National Women’s Law Center Director of Individual Giving and Senior Vice President for External Affairs

Development Resources, inc. (DRiWaterstone) is delighted to announce the placement of Mary Frances Wain as Senior Vice President for External Affairs and Tisha Hyter as Director of Individual Giving at the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC).

Wain’s and Hyter’s placements are the culmination of a multi-faceted partnership between DRiWaterstone and the National Women’s Law Center. DRiWaterstone worked with NWLC’s newly-appointed President and CEO, Fatima Goss Graves, to create an integrated leadership structure for the communications and development teams and to recruit the first Senior Vice President to lead both functions. We continued to work with NWLC to build the External Relations team, recruiting a Director of Individual Giving to capitalize on new fundraising and stakeholder engagement opportunities.

NWLC’s new Senior Vice President of External Affairs, Mary-Frances Wain, brings more than two decades of experience growing development, communications, and marketing programs, with a frequent focus on gender equity and economic opportunity for underserved groups. Wain previously led the U.N. Foundation—where global gender equity is one of the top programmatic priorities—to embark on strategic digital communications and donor prospecting initiatives that fueled growth in both membership and revenue.

Tisha Hyter, NWLC’s new Director of Individual Giving, most recently served as Deputy Director of the UN Foundation’s Nothing But Nets Campaign. Hyter managed donor portfolios and led a team responsible for individual giving at all levels to meet a $4M goal.

The Center is excited to have both new leaders to the External Relations team. We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to the National Women’s Law Center and to Mary-Frances and Tisha. We look forward to seeing the success they achieve together.

DRiWaterstone worked closely with the University of St Andrews’ Principal and Vice Chancellor, Professor Sally Mapstone, and Head of Development Robert Fleming to help the University significantly expand its U.S. fundraising effort as it neared completion of a £100M 600th Anniversary campaign and set out on an ambitious new strategic plan. After visiting the University’s Scotland campus and meeting extensively with administrative and academic staff, we developed a targeted recruitment strategy that identified highly-accomplished U.S.-based fundraisers with knowledge of Scottish education.
