DRi Announces Evidence Action

Development Resources Inc. (DRiWaterstone) is delighted to announce the completion of our search for Evidence Action’s Director of Global Fundraising and Communications.

DRiWaterstone worked with Evidence Action as it moved into its fifth year in business and built systems to make its significant early successes sustainable. We designed a search for the first professional fundraiser to join the organization’s senior team and steered the search through a major leadership transition as Evidence Action continued to grow. The search focused on entrepreneurial leaders who could work with a Board, CEO, and global team of program leaders on a program that combines everything from relationships with charity aggregators to major donor outreach.

Today we congratulate David Chalfant on becoming Evidence Action’s Director of Global Fundraising and Communications. In his most recent fundraising role, David increased fundraising at all levels at the international microfinance organization FINCA International. He previously created and strengthened fundraising initiatives in a wide range of non-profits, including local D.C. healthcare organization Whitman Walker Health and the civil rights organization Human Rights Campaign. Between these roles, David also oversaw sales and marketing at a dot-com services firm.

We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to David and Evidence Action. We look forward to their success together.

(DRiWaterstone) is delighted to announce the completion of our most recent search for Ocean Conservancy. DRiWaterstone worked with Ocean Conservancy to continue a build-out of its fundraising team as government grants have become a less reliable source of program funding. After placing several development staff in 2017, we designed and led a search for a Senior Portfolio Manager of Foundation Grants. We identified and recruited candidates who could work with leaders, scientists, and fundraising colleagues to manage foundation relationships and an ambitious grant calendar. Today we congratulate Melissa Kaminski for moving into this role. Melissa comes to Ocean Conservancy with experience on both sides of the grant-making process. She most recently managed foundation relations at the international conservation organization Rare after supporting grant-making for environmental programs at the Walton Family Foundation. With additional experience in science education programs, Melissa is well-prepared to secure investments in research and technical programs that protect the earth’s oceans and all the ways in which people depend on them. We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to Melissa and Ocean Conservancy. We look forward to their success together.  " ["post_title"]=> string(31) "DRi Announces Ocean Conservancy" ["post_excerpt"]=> string(0) "" ["post_status"]=> string(7) "publish" ["comment_status"]=> string(4) "open" ["ping_status"]=> string(4) "open" ["post_password"]=> string(0) "" ["post_name"]=> string(48) "dri-announces-ocean-conservancy-placed-candidate" ["to_ping"]=> string(0) "" ["pinged"]=> string(0) "" ["post_modified"]=> string(19) "2018-09-06 20:21:16" ["post_modified_gmt"]=> string(19) "2018-09-06 20:21:16" ["post_content_filtered"]=> string(0) "" ["post_parent"]=> int(0) ["guid"]=> string(42) "" ["menu_order"]=> int(0) ["post_type"]=> string(4) "post" ["post_mime_type"]=> string(0) "" ["comment_count"]=> string(1) "0" ["filter"]=> string(3) "raw" }
