Congratulations to Andrew Kerr and the Coast Guard Foundation

DRis pleased to announce the placement of a Regional Director of Philanthropy at the Coast Guard Foundation, an organization that helps active duty service members, Coast Guard veterans, and their families during some of the most trying times in their lives.

Over the last two years, DRhas partnered with the Coast Guard Foundation’s Senior Vice President of Development Brad Sisley and President Susan Ludwig to significantly expand their regional fundraising team. We most recently renewed this partnership with a search for a fundraising leader for the Gulf States region.

Today we congratulate Andrew Kerr on becoming the Coast Guard Foundation’s Regional Director of Philanthropy for the Gulf States.  Across his career, Andrew has achieved success as an entrepreneur, business development professional, and non-profit fundraiser. Andrew most recently served as Major Gift Officer at Rotary International, where he oversaw donor pipeline management and volunteer engagement for a territory of 14 districts, securing some of the region’s largest-ever gifts. He has also served as Director of Development for two relief organizations.

Andrew has a broad knowledge of the Gulf Coast philanthropic market, with a history of work in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. He looks forward to utilizing his connections to support the Coast Guard Foundation.

DRiWaterstone is would like to announce the placement of a Director, China Programs at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, an organization fighting to protect children and create a future free of the death and disease caused by tobacco.

DRiWaterstone worked with Tobacco-Free Kids to find a leader to oversee existing public health programs of the Tobacco-Free Kids Action Fund’s Beijing Representation Office. This person will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to advance policies and measures related to non-communicable diseases.

We would like to congratulate Qian Geng for becoming the new Director, China Programs at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Qian is a passionate global health professional with more than two decades of experience in global health program management, new business development, fundraising, and communications, in both governmental and non-profit organizations. Qian is excited to use her skills and experience to support partners and grantees in China working to advance tobacco control and cardiovascular health.

DRiWaterstone continued its partnership with Cradles to Crayons by identifying a leader to ensure that the organization meets their goals for strategic engagement by building and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with corporations, advancing the goals of both Cradles to Crayons and their partner organizations.

We would like to congratulate Robin Elliott on becoming the new Associate Director of Corporate Relations and Foundations at Cradles to Crayons. Most recently, Robin served as Associate Director of Development at Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, a role she was promoted into from Development Manager. Robin began her fundraising career at Turning the Page, where she was promoted twice during her four-year tenure.

DRiWaterstone is pleased to announce the placement of the President and CEO at Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, an organization that provides financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Service of the United States.

DRiWaterstone partnered with NMCRS to find a leader to take responsibility for the overall direction and administration of the Society’s programs and services. This person will act as a liaison to the Board of Directors and will develop the Society’s long-term goals.

Today we congratulate Lieutenant General Jack Klimp on becoming the new President and CEO of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Jack brings both military and non-profit leadership experience to this role, having served in the United States Marine Corps for more than 30 years before moving into leadership positions at various non-profits along the East Coast. Jack will bring his leadership skills to NMCRS to drive continued growth into the future.

DRi is pleased to announce the completion of our search for a Director of Human Resources at Community Change, an organization that is dedicated to building the power and capacity of low-income people.

DRi’s Managing Director Sherry Ettleson partnered with Community Change President Dorian Warren to identify a Director to manage nationwide employee relations for a staff of more than 80 professionals. The HR Director would join Community Change at a key moment of transition, with responsibility for ensuring that employee needs would be met and all employee voices would be heard as the organization began a large and complex transformation.

We are excited that Kim Huckabone has accepted this role at Community Change. Kim has been serving as Interim HR Director and is thrilled to join the organization full time. Kim was previously HR Director for the Council for a Strong America, Human Resources Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region at Phoenix House, and Executive HR Director at America’s Promise Alliance. She has had an extensive career in HR, with responsibility for developing staffing strategy and fostering a customer service orientation that fully supports staff members. In addition to her considerable HR experience, Kim has additional experience overseeing finance and administration.
