Biography

Dave Perkins is a seasoned leader with extensive general management experience, strategic and M & A capability, and a brand building track record. He has operated in Canada, the US, and international markets and has led large mature businesses, turnaround situations, entrepreneurial operations, and has extensive experience with joint ventures. Following a 33 year career with Molson Coors Brewing Company he retired in 2013 as CEO of Molson Coors Canada and has supported entrepreneurial start-ups, provided ongoing coaching to emerging leaders, and pursued several personal and business interests.

Dave joined Molson in Western Canada and worked in a variety of marketing positions across Canada becoming CMO and then moving into general management positions in Canada and the US. Following the Molson Coors merger Dave led the international business and M & A group before returning to Canada in 2009 as CEO of Molson Coors Canada. There he led the business through a shift in strategy designed to address the significant headwinds impacting the beer business. Major new initiatives were implemented to increase consumer interest in the category, strengthen the brand portfolio, address the cost base, and re-engage employees.

Molson Coors Canada, established over 225 years ago, is an iconic company with 3700 employees, five major breweries, revenue in excess of $2 billion, and EBIT of $400 to $500 million.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and has been active on a number of business and charity boards throughout his career.
