Mauro Scanga

Mauro has over 20 years of Drilled Shaft and Heavy Civil Construction Industry experience. He is currently the President and a Director of Deep Foundations Contractors Inc.

During his career, he has held a variety of positions including Vice President of Sales and Project Management, Safety Manager, HR Manager, Chief Estimator, Site Superintendent, Project Manager, and Labourer. In his role, he is instrumental in the development of programs relating to the employee training and engagement. Mauro is a graduate of the University of Toronto, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering Degree, and has held an Ontario Professional Engineer’s Licence since 1997.

Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. was established in 1971, and specializes in providing pile foundations and excavation shoring services for civil infrastructure, commercial, industrial, condominiums, utilities and oil & gas facility construction projects. Deep is headquartered in Stouffville, Ontario with satellite locations in Edmonton and Fort McMurray, Alberta and Don Mills, Ontario.

Deep is the largest foundation contractor in Ontario and is recognized for its ability to complete the “toughest” jobs.

Mauro is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO); is on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC); and the Heavy Construction Association of Toronto (HCAT).

He promotes the advancement and education of the drilled shaft industry in Toronto Area Universities and Colleges, by way of teaching, conducting seminars and participating on educational advisory boards.
