Paul Kelly

Paul is the Chief Executive Officer of Connect First Credit Union, one of the largest financial cooperatives in Canada with roots in central and southern Alberta going back more than 75 years.  The credit union manages more than $7 billion in assets under administration and employs over 750 Albertans who proudly serve 128,000 members in more than 40 locations. Paul leads the strategic visioning for the connectFirst team, with its unique focus on a remarkable member experience.

Paul’s educational background includes an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University. In 2012 he completed the Director Education Program and holds the ICD.D designation.

Paul is past Chair and currently on the board of the Canadian Credit Union Association, and previously served for 9 years on the board of Credit Union Central Alberta.

Paul’s community involvement includes having worked with the Epilepsy Association for Calgary, Elements Calgary and is currently Chair of the Audit Committee for the Safe Haven Foundation.
