Director, People and Culture
We’re leading the search for a Director, People and Culture for our client, Canada’s leading provider of transportation equipment solutions. If you have 5-plus years of experience in human resource operations, and a history of success with creating and leading both the strategic and the operational components of people and culture within an entrepreneurial organization, this could be the role for you.
This is an in-office role reporting to the CEO and CFO. The Director, People and Culture is responsible for leading both the strategic development and ongoing execution of all aspects of the organization’s people and culture operations. This includes setting: the course for the continued building of a winning and inclusive culture; creating programs and events that engage and inspire employees in a meaningful way; and leading human resource operations and key functions including compensation and benefits, training and development, payroll administration, talent acquisition and management, employee communications, employee relations, organizational design, onboarding and orientation and performance management. The Director, People and Culture also serves as a brand ambassador for the organization, to both employees and to prospective candidates.
The successful candidate will have: excellent communication skills; a strong understanding of provincial laws and regulations governing the management of human resources; the ability to work across all levels to build trust and influence outcomes; the ability to excel at tactical execution and the capacity to develop strategy.
