Program FAQs

What is Waterstone LeaderX?
LeaderX is a six-month leadership experience for emerging and high-potential leaders. It blends workshops, coaching, and peer learning to help leaders grow their impact, strengthen their teams, and lead with confidence.
Who is this program for?
LeaderX is built for middle managers and leaders who are ready for more responsibility. It is also designed for organizations that want stronger leadership capability and a clear path for future leaders.
What will participants gain?
Participants will learn to lead with purpose and presence, communicate with clarity, build trust and accountability, guide teams through change, think more strategically, take ownership of their growth, and define the leader they want to become. Every session connects directly to the realities leaders face at work.
How is the program structured?
LeaderX includes both in-person and virtual sessions. In-person: Leadership Impact, High Performing Teams, Program Conclusion. Virtual: Kickoff Call, Strategic Communication, Future Readiness, Leadership Legacy, Coaching Session, Peer Connects. This mix keeps the program engaging and helps participants build strong relationships across the cohort.
What are Peer Connects?
Peer Connects are small-group conversations that happen before and after each workshop. They give participants space to share experiences, support one another, reflect on progress, hold each other accountable, and learn from different industries and roles.
What happens in the Coaching Session?
Participants complete the TriMetrix HD, EQ Assessment Suite, and 360 Survey Feedback. A certified coach leads a conversation to explore strengths and blind spots, interpret assessment insights, identify a leadership goal for the program, and build a personal focus for the next six months.
How long is the program?
LeaderX runs for six months with a clear rhythm of workshops, coaching, and Peer Connects.
What is the time commitment?
Most leaders spend a few hours each month in workshops or coaching. Peer Connects are short and scheduled by participants. The program is designed to fit alongside full-time responsibilities.
What happens before the program starts?
Participants receive a welcome email, key dates, assessment links, and details for the Kickoff Call. Those considering the program can join an Information Session to ask questions and meet the team.
What is the LeaderX Information Session?
It is a live session that offers an inside look at the program, clarity on who it is built for, a walk-through of content and outcomes, and time for live Q&A.
How will participants stay informed throughout the program?
They receive reminders before each session and short follow-ups after each workshop or Peer Connect. The communication pace is steady, supportive, and clear.
Can participants link this to their performance goals at work?
Yes. LeaderX supports leadership expectations related to communication, strategic thinking, team effectiveness, accountability, and personal growth. Leaders often use their program goal as part of their formal development plan.
How much does the program cost?
The investment to join LeaderX is $8900 + Tax. Organizations often sponsor one or several leaders at a time.
How do leaders approve participation?
Participants receive a short letter they can share with their managers outlining program purpose, benefits, time commitment, and investment. This makes the approval process simple.
How do I register?
Registration is completed through the Waterstone website. Participants receive instant confirmation and next steps.
What do participants need for each session?
Bring reflections, insights from Peer Connects, any pre-work, and a willingness to participate fully. The more engaged they are, the more they gain from the program.
What makes LeaderX stand out?
A blend of in-person and virtual learning, personalized coaching grounded in assessment insights, peer groups that strengthen accountability and connection, a clear, structured journey from self-awareness to action, a focus on real leadership challenges, and a trusted reputation backed by Waterstone’s Canada’s Most Admired brand.
Can I bring LeaderX in house for my team?
Yes. LeaderX can be delivered as an in-house experience for your leadership team or a specific group you want to develop together. This option allows tailoring to your organization’s goals and culture.
Is there a discount if I register more than one manager?
Yes. Many organizations send multiple leaders through the program at the same time, and preferred pricing is offered for groups.
What if I cannot attend an in-person session?
In-person sessions are strongly encouraged, but if something unavoidable comes up, the team will work with you to ensure you have the materials, insights, and support needed to stay on track. Your coach and the program team will help you bridge any gaps.
