The 2026 Program

Four categories. Find yours.

Great cultures exist in boardrooms and community centers, in high-growth startups and established enterprises. If your organization has at least 25 employees and $25M in revenue, or is leading with mission regardless of revenue, your category is waiting.

01

Growth

$25M – $250M revenue

For high-growth organizations with over 25 employees that have built a distinctive, performance-driving culture.

02

Mid-Market

$250M – $1B revenue

For established mid-market companies scaling culture alongside complexity and sustained performance.

03

Enterprise

Over $1B revenue

For large enterprises whose culture remains a deliberate, board-level competitive advantage at scale.

04

Nonprofit

Over 25 employees

For mission-led organizations proving that high performance and a great culture aren’t only a business concept.

Participating in America’s Most Admired Cultures™ is free. Should your organization be named a winner, attendance at the Awards Celebration is required—a ticketed event where you’ll accept your award on stage. Ticket details are shared with winning organizations in advance.

Questions

Before you nominate

US or US subsidiary organizations, either privately-held or publicly-traded, are eligible. These organizations must have a minimum of $25 million in revenue and over 25 employees and a head office, or a subsidiary office, in the US. American nonprofit organizations are also eligible.

Note: 2025 winners are not eligible to participate in the 2026 program.

Who is eligible to participate in the Nonprofit category?

Organizations eligible for the Nonprofit category are those recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6) entities. Eligible organizations may include charities, foundations, professional and trade associations, hospitals, educational institutions, and other mission-driven organizations operating on a nonprofit basis. For-profit corporations, including certified B Corporations and social enterprises, may apply under the appropriate revenue category.

No—nomination and submission are completely free. The only cost involved is for winning organizations, who are required to attend the ticketed Awards Celebration in Park City, Utah in Spring 2027 to accept their award on stage.

What happens after my organization is nominated?

Once nominated, candidate organizations are asked to make a detailed submission to the program that speaks to their corporate culture. You can download the 2026 submission guidelines here.

After confirming your category and submitting the form, you’ll receive submission guidelines, complete a detailed written submission, and participate in a submission interview with the Waterstone Human Capital and America’s Most Admired program team.

Winners are selected by our Board of Governors – leaders from past winning organizations who know firsthand what a great culture looks like, because they’ve built one. Waterstone Human Capital does not vote; our role is to run the program, not judge it.

US organizations can be nominated, or self-nominate, to the program. If you would like to nominate an organization for 2026, please fill out our nomination form here. Nominations close September 28, 2026.

This is what sets America’s Most Admired Cultures™ apart: real, personalized feedback throughout the process. Our team schedules a 45-minute interview with your CEO and Head of People & Culture to review your submission together—and help you strengthen it—before it goes to the Board for final review.

Ten winners are chosen annually in each category. Winners are announced publicly and honored in person at the annual Awards Celebration.

We take confidentiality seriously at every stage. Board of Governors members sign an NDA before reviewing submissions, only see submissions in their own category, and must disclose any conflicts of interest—if one exists, that member doesn’t receive the submission and abstains from voting.

Internally, access is limited to the Most Admired team and the senior team members directly involved in your submission interview and benchmark call. Your submission is used solely to determine winner status and is never made public, nor is your participation as a nominee. We do review submissions each year to identify broad industry themes, which we share back with the community—but always without identifying information.

Your data is never shared outside this process without your express written permission.
