Sean O’Brien
Sean O’Brien is President and CEO of Reliance Home Comfort, a leader in home services and energy efficient solutions, with over two million customer relationships in Canada and the United States. Since joining Reliance in 2013, Sean remains focused on strategic growth initiatives, with a strong emphasis on execution, streamlining operations to improve productivity, and profitability. By keeping customers at the core of the business and fostering a high-performance culture, Sean consistently demonstrates and reinforces Reliance’s commitment to being the Destination of Choice.
Sean has been awarded Canada’s Most Admired CEO in 2016 and recognized as one of Glassdoor’s Highest Rated CEOs Employees’ Choice in 2017. Prior to joining Reliance, Mr. O’Brien held the position of President at Acklands-Grainger Inc. (AGI), leading all Canadian operations. During his time at AGI (Grainger), the company achieved No. 1 ranking, in the Wholesalers – Diversified category, by Fortune magazine as the World’s Most Admired Company in 2010 and was twice recognized as one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures by Waterstone Human Capital.
Mr. O’Brien obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bishop’s University. With a passion to support his community, non-profit organizations and local charities, Mr. O’Brien has served as a Cabinet Chair and Board of Director for the United Way Halton & Hamilton Chapter, Board of Director for the Oakville Soccer Club, Board of Director for the Bishop’s University Foundation, and Board of Governors for Canada’s Most Admired.
