Kelly Ma

Kelly Ma is a senior People & Culture leader with nearly two decades of progressive experience leading human resources, payroll, benefits, labour relations, and talent strategy across retail, manufacturing, and franchise organizations. In her current role as Senior Director of People & Talent at Mr. Lube Canada, she leads people and culture initiatives that align talent, leadership, and organizational performance with business objectives across a national franchise-based organizations.

Kelly has built her career at the intersection of people operations and strategy – starting in payroll and progressing into enterprise HR leadership, giving her a rare ability to bridge operational excellence with long-term strategic transformation. This enables her to build scalable people practices, develop leaders, modernize talent strategies, and create inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures where business success and employee experience reinforce one another.

Beyond the workplace, Kelly is committed to developing people and culture wherever she can make an impact. She volunteers in youth volleyball, supporting young athletes by emphasizing resilience, accountability, teamwork, confidence, and personal growth alongside athletic performance. Her coaching philosophy reflects the same leadership principles that define her professional career: invest in people, foster belonging, and create environments where individuals are empowered to reach their full potential.

Kelly also serves as Co-Chair of the Canadian Franchise Association’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, following two years as Vice Chair, where she collaborates with industry leaders to advance equitable and inclusive practices across Canada’s franchise sector. Whether leading organizational transformation or mentoring the next generation of leaders, Kelly is driven by a simple belief: when people thrive, organizations thrive.
