Since joining Softchoice in 2019, Karen has positioned HR as a strategic enabler of business performance. She launched Leadership Academy, a multi-stream development program completed by over 300 leaders, and introduced the Performance & Development Matrix, transforming coaching and succession planning. Her DEIB strategy improved gender representation in leadership from 32% to 40% and secured a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for four consecutive years.
Prior to joining Softchoice, Karen served as Chief Human Resources Officer at sgsco, where she led a global organizational redesign across 28 countries, implemented scalable HR systems, and delivered $30M in operational savings. Earlier, as Vice President of HR at Mosaic, she pioneered initiatives such as Mosaic University and Mosaic Cares, launched career development programs, and supported exponential growth across North America.
Karen holds a BA in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario and a Human Resources Post-Diploma from Sheridan College. She is recognized as a trusted advisor to executive teams and boards, with a proven ability to align people strategy with business
