Mark Razzolini
With over 30 years’ experience in human resources, Mark Razzolini has always been a purpose-driven leader who believes people are the foundation of any successful workplace.
As Senior Vice-President and Chief People Officer at Alberta Blue Cross, Mark leads the human resources, facilities, corporate services, learning & organizational development, change management, and wellness teams. With Mark’s people and wellness-centered approach to leadership, Alberta Blue Cross has consistently been named to the Top 85 Employers in Alberta, and in 2026 is recognized as one of the Top 100 Employers in Canada for the second year in a row. Alberta Blue Cross has also received the Premier’s Award for Healthy Workplaces, and the Healthy Leadership Award from the province of Alberta, under Mark’s leadership.
As an active volunteer, Mark focuses his energies on social issues, youth and wellness. He was invited to join a team of prominent business leaders to launch the Experience Canada Youth Employment Program. Mark has been a member of the faculty of business mentorship program at the University of Alberta and has served as a Director on the Board of the Boyle Street Co-Op, as well as the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. Mark was also invited to join the Alberta government’s Workplace Wellness Advisory Committee to further the wellness of Alberta’s workforce. He currently serves as Chair for PolicyWise for Children and Families, and on the Board of the Good Samaritan Society.
Mark has been a keynote speaker at Grant MacEwan University, the MS Society, Alberta Minister’s International Wellness Conference, Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute, Canadian Public Relations Society, Conference Board of Canada, and BlueCross BlueShield of North America.
Mark’s personal time is spent in the political arena. He was elected to the School Board in Edmonton for two consecutive terms, and has volunteered on all federal, provincial and municipal campaigns since 1985. In 2005, he received the Alberta Centennial Medal for his significant contributions to Alberta.
