On Tuesday, October 7, 2024, the Waterstone MacKay Canada’s Most Admired™ Vancouver Fall Summit was held at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The summit brought together over 450+ corporate leaders and heads of people and culture for an engaging afternoon of networking and learning. Attendees had the unique opportunity to participate in a panel discussion and Q&A session focused on leveraging culture to drive team performance.

As we explored how organizations can navigate change and stay competitive during complex times, a clear theme emerged: high-performance cultures are built intentionally. Key insights from the discussions included:

  • Purpose and values guide daily behaviours and decisions, creating alignment between how people act, lead, and achieve organizational goals.
  • Culture is a shared responsibility across every level and function of the organization.
  • Leaders must balance psychological safety with accountability empower autonomy, learning, and innovation.
