Agata Zasada

Agata Zasada (MBA, CPHR) is the Senior Vice President of People and Culture at ZayZoon, a rapidly growing fintech company headquartered in Calgary and operating as a fully remote workplace. In this role, she leads cultural evolution initiatives aimed at achieving overall business results and establishing the company as a category leader in Earned Wage Access. Agata joined ZayZoon in October 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience in human resources and a proven track record of driving organizational impact. 

Prior to joining ZayZoon, Agata served as the Chief People Experience Officer at Paystone, where she was instrumental in leading cultural transformation efforts to achieve the company’s business objectives. Her leadership contributed to Paystone’s recognition as one of the Top 50 Most Inspiring Workplaces in North America in 2023. 

Agata’s earlier career includes leading the People & Culture function at Bananatag, a company headquartered in Kelowna, BC, with the goal of scaling and eventual acquisition. Bananatag was successfully acquired by Staffbase, a German-headquartered company, in 2021.

With nearly two decades of experience in human resources, Agata thrives in high-energy environments, embraces challenges, and focuses on delivering organizational impact. Her expertise lies in leadership, employee relations, and strategy development and execution. She has been fortunate to work with some incredible brands, each a “rocket ship” in its own right, focused on growth and staying ahead of the competition. 

In recognition of her contributions to the field, Agata was named one of Canada’s Most Admired Chief People and Culture Officers for 2024 in the Growth category by Waterstone Human Capital.
