Brendan Schulz
Brendan is the Vice President, Talent & Culture at Plan International Canada, where he leads all people practices, including employee engagement, change management, and excellence in leadership. Plan International Canada, one of Canada’s largest children’s rights organizations, is the first non-profit to be inducted into Waterstone Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures Hall of Fame.
Brendan has a near 30-year career in non-profit, corporate, and higher education settings with industry experience in High Tech, Retail, Banking, Post-Secondary Education, and International Development. He has held roles in Human Resources, Organizational Development & Learning, Talent Management, Strategy & Planning, Student Success, International Services, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Brendan is passionate about change management, organizational culture, and global cultures. He is a part-time faculty member at the Schulich School of Business, York University, where he teaches “Managing Across Cultures” and was a regular guest speaker on change management in the Schulich Executive Education Centre’s certificate program: “Leading a Culture that Innovates and Executes”. He has travelled to over 50 countries on five continents and endeavours to integrate the diversity of perspectives learned from other cultures into his work and life
