Lauren Davey
With over 20 years of senior human resources experience, Lauren Davey brings a dynamic and innovative approach to her role as Chief People & Culture Officer at Compass Group Canada.
Drawing on previous positions as People & Culture functional lead, business partner and community leader with Canadian and globally based organizations, Lauren is able to communicate her excitement and passion for areas such as leadership consciousness, talent development and management, change management, and organizational effectiveness. Lauren recognizes that People & Culture can be a true business partner, actively engaging with key sectors to help drive business and achieve key corporate goals and objectives.
Prior to joining Compass Group, Lauren worked as Chief People Officer at Hub International where she introduced a new talent agenda for the organization, established leadership and development initiatives with an emphasis on coaching and driving accountability, and created key initiatives targeted at women, Millennials and top talent.
Lauren has also managed her own consulting business where she worked with senior leadership to facilitate cultural change, assisted start-ups and small to mid-sized companies with strategic design and planning, and provided coaching to key individuals and companies.
She has also held leadership positions with many prestigious companies with head offices in Canada and around the world. She was the Head of Human Resources for Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) for Canada and Latin America and while National Organizational Development Leader for Sobeys, Lauren led a change management initiative for an ERP system-wide implementation. She also managed the National Learning & Development department at Allstream (formerly AT&T Canada) and was instrumental in supporting a re-branding of the culture and company from AT&T to Allstream.
A strong believer that a company’s greatest asset is its employees, Lauren has worked extensively throughout her career to ensure that employees have the training and support necessary to ensure that they can successfully meet the challenges they face.
Lauren holds a degree in psychology from the University of Guelph and has also obtained her CTI Coach and CTI Leadership certifications through the Coaches Training Institute.
She lives in the Greater Toronto area with her husband, two boys and her two golden retrievers.
