Tammy Moore is the CEO of the ALS Society of Canada (ALS Canada), a national health charity which works with the ALS community to create a future where people living with ALS receive the best possible standard of care, have a better quality of life and improved lifespan because of available treatments, and are empowered to make informed decisions about ALS.
ALS Canada is responsible for funding leading-edge ALS research through a national research program, advocates federally and provincially within Ontario for program and system change, and provides services to almost 1,000 people living with ALS in Ontario, providing in-home and virtual support and navigation throughout the course of this progressive terminal disease as well as medical equipment and assistive devices through a loan pool and funding assistance.
Previously, Tammy founded and led an agency providing communications, marketing and branding expertise to a diverse range of organizations in local, national, and global markets. She has also worked with private equity groups to serve in C-suite roles during acquisition and restructuring, and consulted with small and medium enterprises on a variety of business and succession issues.
With a commitment to giving back, Tammy has served on the Board of Directors for the Health Charities Coalition of Canada and the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations. Tammy is a mentor to technology, innovation and entrepreneurial organizations and has served in senior leadership roles with the Women’s Enterprise Centre for British Columbia, BC Cancer Foundation Advisory Council, Kelowna Art Gallery, and Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo.
