Here are 10 questions leaders can use to help kickstart the culture transformation journey – five to help you assess your current culture, and five to get you started on crafting your ideal high performance culture.

Assessment

  1. What does your current culture look like?
  2. Do people describe the culture in the way that you hope they would in alignment with your values or are they having a different lived experience than what you would expect or hope for?
  3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your current culture?
  4. What are the risks in transformation?
  5. To what degree will your current culture get you to where you need to go?

Crafting

  1. What does your ideal culture look like?
  2. How do you want people to describe your culture?
  3. What values, behaviors, practices, and attitudes must be present?
  4. What attributes from your current culture needs to be honored and nurtured?
  5. What do you need to prioritize in order to achieve your desired culture?

Transforming culture takes time and effort, and it’s not always a smooth journey. But asking the right questions is a great place to start!
