Evelyn Ly joined Waterstone Human Capital as VP of Marketing in 2025. In this role, she oversees the marketing team – from brand building and market positioning to community management to our highly esteemed Canada’s Most Admired awards program.

Before life at Waterstone, Evelyn was the Director of Marketing at Humi (now Employment Hero), a B2B SaaS employment platform serving small to medium sized businesses across Canada. She spent four years at Humi developing and building the brand, with content marketing at the heart of it all. She managed a team of seven direct reports, spanning across multiple streams of marketing including digital acquisition, events, partnerships, and more. Evelyn began her career in the nonprofit space – Girl Guides of Canada and Canada Learning Code – both of which she considers invaluable experiences for marketing foundation building.

Evelyn holds a BBA (with a specialization in Marketing) from Wilfred Laurier University and an MBA from Brock University. She lives in the GTA, is obsessed with her golden retriever, and enjoys playing volleyball.
